Gardening for a Good Cause
The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is looking for volunteers to assist at the USDA's People's Garden in Dover, Delaware for the 2019 gardening season. The USDA People's Garden was created as a way for local communities across the country to have access to and involvement with local gardens. Food harvested from the People's Garden in Delaware is donated to shelters in Kent County, Delaware. Since 2009, NRCS in Delaware has donated hundreds of pounds of produce to those in need.
Volunteers are needed in all areas throughout the garden season including weeding, watering and harvest. If you would like to help out for a day or for the entire summer, please contact us.
