Tour Guide (Rockwood Museum)
Rockwood Museum is looking for guides to provide visitors with an exceptional journey. Get to know the history of the mansion and its exhibits. Guides can wear period reproduction clothing provided but not necessary. Perfect for anyone with a love or interest in history or enjoys working with people. Training is provided.
The museum is open to the public Wednesday to Sunday. In return, we provide you with an opportunity to work closely with museum objects and to lend a hand in setting up special ongoing exhibits in the museum. Volunteers receive free admission to the museum for themselves and a guest, free parking is available on our beautiful grounds and many, many more benefits!
This is a great opportunity for anyone with a flexible schedule.
All volunteers must undergo a background check.
Time Commitment: From 6-8 hours monthly.
Qualifications:
Ability to climb stairs and stand for long periods at a time. Volunteers must like interacting with members of the general public to provide an enjoyable experience to adults and children.
