Glasgow Park Farmers Market
The New Castle County Farmers' Market Program is looking for committed volunteers to help in all markets.
GLASGOW PARK FARMERS' MARKET
The Glasgow Park Farmers' Market occurs on Fridays from June 5 to October 30. The market occurs every Friday from 3 to 7pm (rain or shine).
Volunteers must be able to stand for long periods at a time in seasonal weather. Volunteers should be able to lift (50lbs), bend and squat. Volunteers must be able to help with set up and breakdown activities as well as enjoy interacting with the general public. This volunteer opportunity is perfect for anyone who enjoys working as part of a team and working outside! The minimum age to volunteer is 18 (12 to 17 with a parent or legal guardian).
Volunteers can choose to help out at the following times:
9 to 11am: Help put up signage and other tasks (vols with cars needed).
1 to 3pm: Help vendors set up for the market.
3 to 7pm: Help during the market. Activities include (but not limited to), helping at information table, games for kids, greeting the public, counting attendance and other tasks as required.
7 to 9pm: Help with breakdown activities including, take down signage and canopies and other tasks (vols with cars needed)
Please note, regular volunteers must undergo a non-reimbursable background check.
