Sussex volunteers (50+) Needed to Help in the Opioid Crisis

Volunteer Delaware 50+, Sussex County is looking for volunteers to dedicate their time and commitment to a year in support of existing programs or to design new programs to address the opioid crisis in our community.

Training is free and features experts in healthcare, law enforcement and community support programs. It will give a comprehensive understanding of the current crisis and how it is affecting Sussex County, and detail the services available.

Volunteers will be coached and provided the tools needed to actively engage in addressing specific needs within existing programs or to design programs that may fill in the gaps in existing services.

Training classes will consist of seven two- hour sessions beginning September 25 and running through November 6.

Are you a volunteer with a passion to address this crisis? If so, please call the office at 302-515-3020 for more information, so together we can work towards creating avenues hope for those most in need.
