http://mikki@newcastlecity.orgSeparation Day is an annual event recognizing our independence from Great Britain and Pennsylvania and the creation of the Delaware State on June 15, 1776. This celebration is supported by the State of Delaware, the Separation Day Committee, and the Mayor and Council of New Castle. Separation Day Celebration serves as a major fundraising event for local charitable and community organizations. The Committee consists of a broad based group of community volunteers. The purpose of this event is to create an awareness of our Stateys proud history and cultural resources while benefitting organizations that support our community and its citizens.
