Becoming a Partner

Interested in joining as a partner organization?

Are you an agency based in Delaware or who provides services in Delaware?

Volunteer Delaware works in partnership with hundreds of community based nonprofit agencies, schools and civic organizations to provide volunteers in our state with a variety of meaningful opportunities for service and leadership.

As a leader in volunteerism, Volunteer Delaware increases the level of meaningful volunteer engagement by creating and managing efficient, impactful projects that address critical community-identified needs. We work with each organization to identify needs, recruit teams of volunteers and offer support to projects where volunteers can make meaningful contributions to their communities. As a Volunteer Delaware partner, we can help you to engage, equip and empower volunteers to make meaningful impact with your organization.

To be eligible as an organizational partner, you must be:

  • An agency with 501(c)3 nonprofit status, a public/not-for-profit school or a government organization that has been in operation more than one full year

  • An agency that is not part of a political campaign.

  • An agency that does not discriminate. Our nonprofit partners who we serve as the core of our mission, must not discriminate in its staff, board, volunteers, volunteer committees or recipients of services on the basis of a person's race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, national origin, ancestry, marital status, veteran status, mental disability, physical disability or any other status prohibited by applicable law.

As a Volunteer Delaware partner, you will have access to:

  • A network of volunteers from across Delaware who register on our site to offer their services. As a partner organization, you can post your opportunity in our searchable database or request for us to help match you with registered volunteers.

  • Support in managing single day or short-term volunteer projects. If you have a need that can be met by bringing in volunteers for a one-time, group-based, direct-service project, we can help to plan and develop the opportunity, recruit volunteers, manage registration, send confirmation and reminder emails to volunteers, provide day of event support and even track hours for those who attend.

  • We can help to facilitate service opportunities for corporate teams to join your organization for single day or short-term projects that fulfill your mission and introduce a new audience to your organization

  • As a Volunteer Delaware partner organization, you will have access to a wealth of resources and best practices to support you in the three R’s – Recruitment, Recognition and Retention. Our experienced staff can support you through one on one consulting or you can participate in a selection of workshops and skill building sessions designed to help our partners offer those who sign up to serve with the best possible experience as a volunteer. Our monthly newsletters, tip sheets and resource library can help you to take the next step in your volunteer management journey
