Help Keep Cape Henlopen Clean!
Join fellow volunteers in preserving the natural beauty of Cape Henlopen State Park by removing litter and debris from trails and public areas. Your efforts help ensure a safe, welcoming experience for the thousands of visitors who enjoy this park every year!
What to Expect:
We’ll provide gloves, 12" tongs, and 32" litter grabbers to share. Cleanups will take place across a variety of terrain including asphalt paths and sidewalks. Please dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes.
Accessibility:
All are welcome! We strive to make this event inclusive to individuals with mobility aids. Let us know ahead of time if you need specific accommodations.
Meeting Location:
Herring Point parking lot within Cape Henlopen State Park

Directions: After entering the park, follow signs for “Herring Point.” Park in the lot and look for a state vehicle and park staff member to sign in.
Park Entry:
Let the fee booth attendant know you're here for a volunteer project. If needed, our staff can provide a parking pass at the meeting location.
Weather Policy:
This event will be canceled in the event of snow, ice, freezing temperatures, or other inclement weather. Please check your email (and spam folder) prior to departure for updates.
