Nehemiah Gateway Community Development Corporation (NGCDC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, incorporated in 2000 as a project of Shiloh Baptist Church, Delaware’s oldest Black Baptist church. Our mission is to increase opportunities for asset building, financial management, entrepreneurship, and youth programming in the Delaware region. We empower, engage, mobilize and support low-moderate income families & individuals in developing and executing strategies for achieving their economic, educational, and social goals. We envision a community in which low-moderate income working adults successfully improve their economic and social well-being. We provide free tax preparation, supported by professional volunteers, to help clients reach financial goals by securing tax credits and deductions, while also saving them from repressive fees.
