Our vision is to create communities in which every child is nurtured by a loving family who is supported by a caring community working together to promote and protect the best interests of the child. Description: PCAD has provided leadership in child abuse prevention efforts in Delaware since 1977. In partnership with other organizations, we have developed programs, services and resources to assist Delaware families and provide them with the information and support they need to raise children in safe, nurturing environments. In an effort to reach these goals, PCAD is involved in the following areas of service: Training Workshops Personal Safety Education Programs Partnering with Parents Shaken Baby Syndrome Prevention Advocacy/Public Awareness Campaigns
