Addressing Barriers and Alleviating Poverty to Disable Communities in Delaware
We are working toward the goal of alleviating both current and future poverty levels within and throughout the State of Delaware by serving populations with all disabilities. In order to combat current poverty, we are working with the adult population in the areas of pre-vocational work, job skills, job coaching, supported employment, and group housing. To combat future poverty we are working with transition age students (14-21) to get them work experience, access to career exploration, job shadowing, life skills, interview preparations, resume writing and other resume building activities such as volunteer work and internships.
